Role Description:
The Karratha Community House Inc. (KCH) Board is seeking a Treasurer on a voluntary basis.
Karratha Community House Inc. (KCH) is a local not-for-Profit community organisation that provides families in the City of Karratha the opportunity to connect with others while engaging in exciting play-based learning programs for children aged 0-5 years.
The Treasurer is responsible for oversight of KCHs financial controls and records. Specific duties include preparation of financial reports and the annual budget, making payments, advising the Board and supporting staff on matters of finance, and administration of the organisations accounting software, Xero.
Ideal skill sets for the Treasurer position include accounting, business and/or administration. Most importantly, we seek someone who is passionate about community development, play-based learning, and has the time and energy to help our amazing organisation continue to grow and improve!
The time commitment of the Treasurer includes preparation for and attendance at the monthly Board meeting, approximately 3hrs/week on treasury duties, and support for events (once per term).
