Role Description:
Midland Women's Health Care Place is looking for a voluntary experienced grant writer to assist with researching for suitable grants and preparing grant submissions to further the great work currently undertaken.
Midland Women's Health Care Place provides services for women across the lifespan, recognising that individual women can be vulnerable at different times because of factors including social and economic disadvantage, disability ethnicity and age. Primary services include but are not limited to one to one counselling at low cost with professional female only counsellors to assist with a variety of issues including relationship breakdowns, domestic violence, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and other life stressors.
You will need to have experience in researching grants that align to the services currently delivered. You will also need to be able to work as part of a team as well as the ability to work on your own at times.
Previous experience of writing and submitting funding applications and grants is highly desirable. You will need to be able to communicate effectively, have excellent reading and writing skills and be organised with your time.
You will be working in a supportive team alongside the CEO.
This could lead to a paid employment opportunity if revenues are increased.
We are looking for a volunteer who could work with us 1 - 2 days per week in normal office hours for 2-3 months.
